New Swiss commemorative coins: “Carline thistle” and “Klausen pass”

On 25 January 2018, the Federal Mint Swissmint will launch two new commemorative coins for coin enthusiasts and collectors. The bimetallic “Carline thistle” coin is the last in its three-part FLORA ALPINA series. At the same time, the “Klausen Pass” silver coin starts a new series on Swiss Alpine passes.

Since 2016 Malta strikes a series of seven €2 commemorative coins devoted to its prehistoric heritage. The first issued coin represents Ġgantija Temples (Temples of the Giants), built during fourth millennium AD, the Bronze Age, on the Gozo island. The central bank of the Netherlands (dutch NBC), offered a Christmas a quite original present to its employees and shareholders. The gift costs dutch NBC 885€ “per capita”. It consist in the complete range of euro banknotes (from €5 to €500 banknote), in UNC condition.
