2023 irish €15 coin dedicated to national women football team

The coin will retail at €65.00 and the issue limit is 3,000. This limited edition coin celebrates the extraordinary impact the Women’s National team (WNT) has had on women and girl’s football in Ireland.Ireland’s first official women’s international game took place on May 13, 1973 in Wales. The Girls in Green won 3-2 and it was the start of something special.There have been many highs for the WNT since then, but qualifying for the FIFA Women’s World Cup with a play-off victory away to Scotland eclipsed them all. This secured the team’s first ever place at a major tournament.
Later this year irish central bank will issue 1,000 2023 Proof sets and these will contain a proof version of the commemorative €2 coin marking 50 Years since Ireland joined the EU.
