On February 12, the second Ile de France coin show (SNIIF) was held in TAVERNY (95). This show was born from the transfer of the former numismatic bourse of Argenteuil, because of the definitive unavailability of the Jean VILAR Hall. This last one had sheltered the exchange during more than 40 years.

The new silver coin “Klein Matterhorn Gondola” is the first in a trilogy dedicated to cable cars. It pays tribute to a major project, completed in the summer of 2023 after more than 80 years of planning and construction: the direct, year-round connection between Zermatt and Cervinia (Italy) via the Matterhorn Alpine Crossing. This state-of-the-art ropeway connects the Matterhorn Glacier “Paradis” mountain station with the lower station of Testa Grigia in Italy in one go.

The ATTICA sale of April 23, 2023 includes a unique lot of great interest for collectors of medals and more particularly medals related to Olympism. The silver medal of the 1st Olympic Games of Athens (1896) was awarded to the first winner of each competition. It was engraved by the famous French artist Jules-Clément CHAPLAIN.
