2023 LATVIAN NUMISMATIC PROGRAM

In 2023, the Bank of Latvia plans to issue six collector coins, as well as a €2 commemorative coin and a set of circulation coins. The coins in the collection will be dedicated to the following topics of importance to Latvia:

  • a coin dedicated to the work of Imants Ziedonis (Latvian poet and writer)
  • a coin dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Song and Dance Festival
  • a coin dedicated to the theme of basketball
  • a coin dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the Museum of Riga History and Navigation
  • a coin dedicated to Riga fashion
  • a coin dedicated to the theme of the golden horse

 

2023 LATVIAN NUMISMATIC PROGRAM
In 2023, a €2 commemorative coin dedicated to the Ukrainian sunflower will be issued. The coin will be issued in souvenir cards (BU quality) and rolls (UNC quality). Proceeds from each coin sold in a souvenir card will be donated to Ukraine.
2023 LATVIAN NUMISMATIC PROGRAM
At the end of the year, a set of BU quality circulation coins dedicated to Latvian traditions will be issued. The circulation of the set has not been communicated at this time.
