The 2022 Lithuanian €2 commemorative coin “SUVALKIJA” region has been officially announced this summer by the lithuanian central bank. This is the opportunity for NUMISMAG to come back on this coin and to interview its designer, Rolandas RIMKUNAS, about the creation of this coin and its various projects.
This coin is part of the multi-year series dedicated to the regions of Lithuania.

As we learned that the Netherlands would issue a €2 ERASMUS coin, Portugal presented to the public its draft coin for this joint issue scheduled for 07/01/2022.
The Portuguese coin is based on the original design by Joaquin Jimenez, engraver in chief of the Monnaie de Paris.
The national side will feature the sentence “Programa ERASMUS”, for ERASMUS program with the name of the issuing country, Portugal. The name of the Portuguese Mint “CASA DA MOEDA” will be engraved at 6 o’clock.

2021, the Royal Australian Mint is commemorating the 110th Anniversary of the introduction of the Australian Penny with this unique 2021 $1 Copper Two-Coin Set.
