New generation of zero euro banknotes – 2020 Berlin World Money Fair

During the Berlin World Money Fair 2020, Richard FAILLE, the creator of the zero euro banknotes, presented the new obverse of the “new generation” zero euro banknotes, which have part of their design in intaglio. For our friends who are beginner collectors, we would like to point out that intaglio printing is a relief printing process which is a security feature that contribute to prevent counterfeiting of banknotes.

Bank of England unveils new “TURNER” £20 banknote

A few months ago, Governor Mark Carney unveiled the design of the new £20 note featuring the artist JMW Turner. It will be issued for the first time on February 20th 2020. Unfortunately, the actual govenor of BoE will leave his office in january 2020. He will not be in charge any more when the new banknote will be officialy issued.

The ANA, first global numismatic association in the world

The American Numismatic Association (ANA) was in Berlin at the 2020 World Money Fair. It currently counts 25,000 members worldwide.
It is indeed a new orientation of the association which wishes to open up to numismatics from the rest of the world and thus become the first global association of collectors in numismatics.
The project is ambitious but the ANA has the financial and human resources to achieve it.

2020 slovenian numismatic program

Slovenia unveiled its 2020 numismatic program on February the 10th. The program includes only a few annual issues that euro collectors will not miss to complete their collections.
In 2020, Slovenia will issue only one €2 commemorative coin dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Adam BOHORIC’s birth.

He was a priest and a preacher and also a man of letters. BOHORIC was above all the author of the first book dealing with the grammar of the Slovenian language.
