Since the 2008 Summer Olympics, the Royal Belgian Mint has had a tradition of supporting the Belgian  athletes  team. Following the postponement of the Olympic Games, the official issue of the Royal Belgian Mint has also been postponed for one year.

This is also the first time that a 5 euro coin in honor of the Olympic Games is available in two finishes, the first in classic relief and the second in color (partial colorization).

2022 €2commemorative coin 150th anniversary Society of Estonian Literati

Next year will mark 150 years since the Society of Estonian Literati was founded, and Eesti Pank is issuing a two-euro circulation coin with a special design in honour of this. The coin will use a design by Riho Luuse.

On Wednesday, 20 January, Latvijas Banka will issue a 2 euro commemorative coin dedicated to the 100th anniversary of de iure recognition of the Republic of Latvia.

The new 2 euro commemorative coins, both individual coins and coins in rolls, will be temporarily unavailable for circulation.

Once the situation stabilises, Latvijas Banka will put into circulation a total of 400 000 coins, and the public will be notified thereof in a timely manner.
