The Heir Couple of the Principality of Luxembourg had announced the birth of their son Sunday, May 10th, 2020 at 5:13 am at the Grande-Duchesse Charlotte Hospital in Luxembourg.

He bears the first names of Charles Jean Philippe Joseph Marie Guillaume. The child weighs 3,190 kg and measures 50 cm.

Twelve months on from the devastating bushfires that swept the nation, the Royal Australian Mint launched a coloured UNC $2 commemorative coin honouring Australia’s Firefighters, following the release of a circulating coin of the same design.

The Principality of Monaco has just announced the issue of a €2 commemorative coin dedicated to the Sovereign Prince Honoré III, born Honoré Camille Léonor Grimaldi de Goyon de Matignon on 10 November 10th 1720,  in Paris and died on 21 March 1795 in the same city.

2020 EVANGELION BU and Proof sets from Japan Mint

The Japan Mint launches two special coin sets to commemorate the Evangelion’s manga.

Evangelion is one of the most acclaimed anime in Japan. Since 2020 marks its 25th anniversary of the initial TV broadcast in 1995, Japan Mint release these special collaboration coin sets.

The project of 4 series film of the anime started in 2007 and the final one would be released this summer, but it was forced to be postponed due to COVID-19.

2020 MALTA numismatic program

Malta unveiled in february 2020 its numismatic program for year 2020.

AS usual for several years now, the Central Bank of Malta will issue two €2 commemorative coins. The first one is the fifth coin of prehistoric sites series. The second one is part of coin design competition series.

The CBM will also issue gold coins with a very low mintage.

The rarest will be the one once gold coin dedicated to 75th anniversary of peace in Europe. Only 100 coins will be minted!
