The Mint of Finland will issue a new 2€ commemorative coin dedicated to finnish Nature. The image of the coin was created from an artwork of the photography competition winner “Natural Picture of the year”. The awarded photographer names Kari Auvinen. The Scottish bank of CLYDESDALE issued this week a new 10 pounds polymer banknote. It may seem astonishing that banknotes may be issued by another financial establishment than BoE in the United Kingdom. September 25th, 2017 is the official issuing day of the 2017 second french 2€ commemorative coin, dedicated to the fight against the breast cancer. This great cause is supported by Monnaie de Paris (french Mint) which pays €2 to “The Breast cancer let’s speak about it!” organization. In 2002, the Bolaffi auction house had announced the acquisition of six 2002 one cent error coins struck on 2 eurocents blanks. The Belgian mint strikes its last commemorative coin issue before closing its doors. This coin was struck Thursday, September 28 and is dedicated to the 200 year anniversary of GAND University. The new €3 coin , dedicated to the Kingfisher of Europe, is part of the series “coloured species”. This commemorative coin has the double specificity of having a never seen face value in austrian euro coinages and of presenting a lumino-phosphorescent effect.

Stephan Satijn has been appointed as Mint Master at the Royal Dutch Mint. Satijn has worked as alderman responsible for economic affairs and infrastructure for the municipality of Venlo since 2011.
