The very first Zero Euro Souvenir Banknote designed for Turkey is available now. It is a limited edition of only 5000 banknotes printed by Oberthur printingworks, in France. the banknote bears some unique details such as the turned ‘8’ seen on the banknote’s yearmark, 1938, year of KEMAL death. On 24 January 2019, the Federal Mint Swissmint will launch three new commemorative coins for coin collectors, enthusiasts and fans. Swissmint is honouring the 100th anniversary of the Swiss national circus Knie by issuing its first coloured coin, which is available for purchase only in proof quality.

Swissmint ends its three-part “Swiss steamships” series with the “Blümlisalp” steamboat silver coin and, at the same time, begins a three-part series entitled “Swiss forest animals” with its bimetallic “Roe deer” coin.

Working with local historians and officers of the Bathurst, New Brunswick-headquartered North Shore Regiment, the Royal Canadian Mint has solved the mystery of the identity of the soldier whose face is dramatically portrayed on its 2019 Proof Silver Dollar commemorating the 75th Anniversary of D-Day.

That soldier has been identified as Private George Herman Baker, a member of No. 3 Platoon, A Company, of the North Shore Regiment who landed with his comrades at Juno Beach, between Courseulles and St-Aubin-sur-Mer, France...
