Lithuanian €2 2022 – 100 years of Basketball in Lithuania

In 2022, Bank of Lithuania will issue a coin dedicated to the 100th anniversary of basketball in Lithuania. The national side of the coin depict a map of Lithuania, arranged as a basketcourt in the center, witch signifies that basketball has been played for already 100 years. THe coin features also the inscritions “LIETUVA” for LITHUANIA and anniversary dates “1922-2022”. Coins will be struck by Luthuanian Mint and ist logo will be set in a semi-circle in center of the coin. EJIDIJUS RAPOLIS designed the coin.

2022 new €2 commemorative coin from Finland: National Ballet.

This new commemorative coin will be issued in 2022 and commemorates the 100th anniversary of the finnish National Ballet. National side of the coin depicts powerfull and free movements of a dancer covered in a light flowing textile that accentuates fluidity of dancer’s pose.
The estimated mintage of the coin is 400 000 coins (for circulation and collectors).
This coin will be issued in Spring 2022.

Lats update 01/11/2022 – Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said on Monday that he believed Croatia would be ready to join the eurozone on January 1st 2023. Croatia has in fact signed a memorandum of understanding with the EU for its euro changeover on 09/21/2021.
