Since 11 November 2018, the Greek government has provided the following list of 2019 numismatic issues. The Greek issuing institute officially unveiled its 2019 monetary programme at the World Money Fair 2019 in Berlin. We present the first images of the institute’s creations.

50p BREXIT coin from 2019 – Royal Mint

To mark the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union, The Royal Mint has produced a new commemorative 50p coin collection. The coin design features the words “Peace, prosperity and friendship with all nations” and the date of the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union.

The commemorative coins will be available in Brilliant Uncirculated, Silver proof and Gold proof editions. The coin will also feature on ten million 50p coins which will enter general circulation from the 31st January.

2019: 100th anniversary of Czech currency and special numismatic issues

The Czech National Bank will celebrate in 2019 the 100th anniversary of the introduction of the Czechoslovak currency and its monetary unit the koruna, as well as issuing circulation banknotes and coins. To mark this special occasion, the CNB (Czech central bank) has prepared a set of events and activities to commemorate the creation of the currency and to put forward its own work and role.
