The slovak Mint will issue in early January 2018 several collectors concerning the celebration of the 25th birthday of the slovak Republic creation, following the split of old tchekoslovakia state. Mint of KREMNICA will thus issue during the month of January 2018:

The Mint of Portugal will strike two €2 commemorative coins from its 2018 minting program. The first one celebrates the 250 anniversary of Portugal national printing works, created on December 24th 1768 under the name of “Royal printing works”, also called “typographical Office of Régia”. It becomes, starting from 1833, National Printing works until 1972. After several mergers, it took the name of “Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda”.

Defence line of Amsterdam, KNM 2017 commemorative coinages

Around the Dutch capital Amsterdam lies a unique defence line of 42 forts, 4 batteries and a large amount of dikes and locks. This is the Defence Line of Amsterdam (“Stelling van Amsterdam”). The defence line is a historical monument for the Netherlands and has been listed on UNESCO World Heritage List, since 1996.

 

 

This impressive defence line will be honoured with an official commemorative coin. The ‘Stelling van Amsterdam’ commemorative coin is the sixth official issue in the series of commemorative coins around Dutch World Heritage.
