
2021 Japan annual coin sets

The Mint of Japan announced earlier this week the issue of its 2021 coin sets. Two proof sets, one with a medal and one without, will be complemented by an annual BU set and a special BU anniversary set.
Proof sets
This is a standard coin set, consisting of six Japanese coins and a copper medal from the year 2021. There is also a box without a medal.

Anniversary Set
This set of coins with a photo holder, message card and stickers is designed as a gift for all kinds of special occasions, such as weddings, birthdays, etc.
The coin set contains:
・Six Japanese legal tender coins in shiny condition not put into circulation, one 500 yen nickel-plated brass coin, one 100 yen cupronickel coin, one 50 yen cupronickel coin, one 10 yen bronze coin, one 5 yen brass coin, one 1 yen aluminium coin.
・ A pure silver medal
・ A message card
・ Original stickers
Annual BU set
This is a standard coin set consisting of six uncirculated brilliant coins (BU) of Japan and a special medal featuring the eastern zodiac sign of this year 2021, the Ox.
The coin set contains :
– Six Japanese legal tender uncirculated bright uncirculated coins – One 500 yen nickel-brass coin, one 100 yen cupronickel coin, one 50 yen cupronickel coin, one 10 yen bronze coin, one 5 yen brass coin, one 1 yen aluminium coin.
– One red brass medal representing this year’s oriental zodiac, the Ox

12th Mar 2021 - 2 h 44 minI thought 2021 there would be a redesign of the 500 yen coin. Is the redesign of the coin pushed back to 2022?
