On Thursday, January 6, 2022, Bank of Estonia will launch a silver collector coin dedicated to Estonian athletes participating in the XXIV Winter Olympics in Beijing. The silver coin, designed by Liis Dvoryanski, depicts conifers next to the ski slopes and a view of the Olympic venue landscape.
On the background of the landscape is the logo of the Estonian Olympic Committee and the Olympic rings that surround the view.
Liis Dvorjanski, who designed the silver piece, studied fine arts at the Estonian Academy of Arts and Applied Architecture, Tallinn University of Technology. Liis currently works at the design agency Tuules. Liis Dvorjanski’s designs for collector’s items have already attracted the attention of the bank’s jury. In 2008 he designed a collector’s item dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Estonian National Museum.
