Finnish National Ballet 100 years

This new commemorative coin will be issued in 2022 and will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Finnish National Ballet. 35th anniversary of Programme Erasmus

The issuing country “FI” appears in the center of the coin, and the different coinage of the Mint of Finland is engraved at 6 o’clock. The words “OHJELMA” and “PROGRAMMET” are the translation of the word “Program” in Finnish and Swedish.

Mintage: max. 400,000 coins

NB: The document validated by the European authorities indicated a mintage of 800,000 coins for circulation, without any further details on a coin quota for the collectors’ market. The mintage was therefore modified downwards, probably because the Bank of Finland did not initially intend to issue a third commemorative coin in 2022. The difference of 400,000 coins could correspond to the mintage of this third coin.

Date of issue: June 2022
