The FIFA World Cup is an international competition created in France in 1928 and takes place every four years. This 21st World Cup is open to all federations recognized by FIFA.
Host cities include St Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Kaliningrad and Sochi (the host city of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games). The tournament will involve 32 national teams, including 31 teams determined in qualifying competitions, and the host team, which qualifies automatically. A total of 64 matches will be played during the 32 days of the event, with Moscow hosting the final.
On the occasion of the World Cup organized in Russia from June 14 to July 15, 2018, we offer a world tour of the creations of national currencies. The first part consists of commemorative coins and the second part of commemorative notes.
