Silver medal uses holographic latent image technology developped by OSAKA Research Institut of Industrial Science and Technology. If you shine a LED light directly on obverse surface from a distance between 10 and 20cm, a KANJI caracter will appear in the depths of the medal. This KANJI caracter is the initial letter of the word “Natural Monuments” in japanese.
