Servei d’Emission from the Andorra Principalty communicated to NUMISMAG its 2021 numismatic program. This article will be regularly updated. French and spanish mint alterbatively strike the coins for the principalty. This matter of fact is the result of french-spanish comanagement of the principalty.
Circulation coins mintages (2014-2021)
NUMISMAG has asked the Principality of ANDORRA to provide the circulation coinage figures in the strict sense of the word (i.e. excluding coins in BU sets and €2 commemorative coins).
They are as follows (by year):

It appears that the most interesting sets for collectors are the 2015, 2016 and 2020 sets. For these years, many values have not been minted for circulation and can only be obtained through an annual set. The year 2016 is the most sought after. The €2 coin was not minted for circulation, resulting in a mintage of 35,000 coins for the year 2016.
€2 2021 100th anniversary
of Lady of MERITXELL’s coranation
The design of the coin commemorates 100th anniversary of coranation of Lady of MERITXELL as patron saint of the Principalty of Andorra.
The foregrounds of the design depicts the reproduction of the Romanesque carving of our Lady of MERITXELL, witch dates back from 11th and 12th centuries.
The background of the design shows a partial reproduction of the Basilica sanctuary where it is located, the name of the issuing country and years “1921-2021”.
Forecast mintages are 70 000 BU coins and 3 500 proof coins.
Coin will be available last quarter of 2021.

€2 Taking cares of our seniors
The subject of the coin (taking care of our seniors) is symbolized by the image of a hand of a young person olding another and that shows all the signs of aging, with a stethoscope below them as a symbol of the work of our healthcare workers. THe name of the issuing country is encircling several reproductions of the SARS -COV2 virus represents the State’s commitment to prevent ist spread and caring for its citizens.
The design shows the yearmark, 2021.
The forecast mintage is 70 000 BU coins (no proof version for this coin).
Coin will be available last quarter of 2021.

Series of 1.25€ coins Heritage of ANDORRA
In 2021, ANDORRA start a new numismatic series that reproduces the most representative elements of the country. For this first year, two first coins of the series will be dedicated to the poet daffodil and the Margineda Bridge.

Mintage: 3 000 coins (for each of the two coins)
These coins will be available last quarter of 2021.
