The Netherlands are participating in a project of a combined set of several numismatic issues dedicated to the 75 years of freedom in Europe and the end of the Second World War. This project is in the process of being validated by the various Mints that would be involved in this pluri-national numismatic issue. The KNM is moving from its historical facility in UTRECHT to a new business area, twenty kilometres away. In 2020, the mint will therefore organise the traditional Day of the Mint in June in its new facility and a limited edition coin set will be issued on this occasion as well as a medal that the public will be in order to strike by its own during the event.

The annual proof set, dedicated to the city of Rotterdam, will be personalized and will contain a proof silver medal dedicated to the Eurovision Song Contest. The medal will be decorated with the official logo of the competition. There will be 3,000 sets for sale.

The KNM has issued a set on the occasion of the World Money Fair at the beginning of 2020.
This is the fifth set of the “Ich Liebe Holland” theme series. This year’s theme is the capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam. The mintage of this set is limited to 500 copies.

There will also be the end-of-year UNC set, containing the 8 values of the annual divisional series. This collector will be limited to 17,500 sets. It will be available in August 2020.

In 2020, the KNM will not mint a commemorative €2 coin, for the second consecutive year. This is in line with the guidelines of the Dutch government, which considers such a production to be expensive for circulation coins, with a limited issue of only one year.
In addition, the Netherlands still has a very large stock of €2 coins.

A new series of Ducats, dedicated to the castles of the Netherlands, will be issued. The first coin will be dedicated to DE HAAR castle, located in UTRECHT.
